EDU-SPEB2 Spectrometer Educational Kits — ThorLabs: A kit for building either a grating spectrometer or a prism spectrometer from the same set of parts, so students can compare interference and refraction as dispersing mechanisms. A Czerny-Turner extension adds absorption spectroscopy.
LP980: Transient Absorption Spectrometer — Edinburgh Instruments: Flash photolysis transient absorption spectrometer for following short lived excited states and reaction intermediates. The kinetic configuration measures a decay at a single wavelength; the kinetic and spectral configuration adds an intensified CCD so the whole transient spectrum can be captured at chosen delays. Excitation is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with an optional tuneable OPO.
