• PSMC: Computer Controlled Magnetic Separation Unit — EDIBON: A rotating magnetic drum separator for sorting a feed of mixed solids according to their magnetic susceptibility. It shows how drum speed, feed rate and splitter position change the grade and recovery of the magnetic fraction, which is the basic experiment in mineral separation teaching.
• PHCC: Computer Controlled Hydrocyclone Unit — EDIBON: A hydrocyclone unit for studying solid and liquid separation by centrifugal action. It reproduces the operating conditions of industrial hydrocyclones so that students can measure the split between overflow and underflow and relate cut size to feed pressure, flow rate and solids concentration.
• PSNC: Computer Controlled Gas Flow Classification Unit — EDIBON: A zigzag gravity air classifier that separates a mixture of solids by particle size using an upward air stream. Fine and coarse fractions are collected separately, allowing students to relate the cut point to air velocity and particle properties in dry classification work.
