• 11PTC: Petroleum Training Center Laboratory — EDIBON: EDIBON list this in their Laboratories range, which covers complete laboratory installations rather than single bench units. It is supplied as a full petroleum training centre, so the teaching units and the room layout are defined for the institution as a turnkey project.
• QCCC: Computer Controlled Cracking Column — EDIBON: A bench unit for carrying out a catalytic cracking reaction on a hydrocarbon feed and distilling the products. Students control temperature, feed rate and catalyst conditions and examine how each affects the product distribution. It suits petroleum refining and reaction engineering teaching.
• HTSC: Computer Controlled Horizontal Three-phase Separator — EDIBON: A horizontal gravity separator that splits a gas, oil and water mixture into three streams, as used on oil and gas production facilities. It is used to study residence time, interface level control and the effect of viscosity, flow rate and density difference on separation efficiency.
• VTSC: Computer Controlled Vertical Three-phase Separator — EDIBON: A vertical gravity separator for splitting a gas, oil and water mixture into three streams. It allows the same separation variables as the horizontal unit to be examined, so students can compare vertical and horizontal vessel behaviour under changing flow, viscosity and density conditions.
