- TPTV/1.5kW/CTS: Computer Controlled and Touch Screen 1.5 kW Steam Power Plant — EDIBON: Steam power plant of 1.5 kW for detailed study of the power generation cycle with steam as the process fluid. Softened water is raised to superheated steam in a diesel fired generator, expanded in the turbine and returned as condensate from the cooling tower.
- TPTV/20kW/CTS: Computer Controlled and Touch Screen 20 kW Steam Power Plant — EDIBON: Steam power plant of 20 kW built to the same layout as a real generating station, with water softening, steam raising, expansion and condensate return. Level switches and automatic valves manage filling so the plant can be run through complete cycles.
- TTVC: Computer Controlled Steam Turbine — EDIBON: Single stage impulse steam turbine with injector, brake and water cooled condenser. A belt brake with load cell measures torque, and closing a solenoid valve at the condenser outlet lets a known volume of condensate be timed to give the steam flow.
- TSMEC: Computer Controlled Steam Motor and Energy Conversion Unit — EDIBON: Complete Rankine cycle in which water is pumped to a computer controlled boiler, expanded in a two cylinder steam motor and condensed back to the storage tank. A throttling calorimeter gives the dryness fraction of the steam produced.
- TGDEC: Computer Controlled Two-Shaft Gas Turbine — EDIBON: Two shaft gas turbine for evaluating performance, energy balance and the interaction between stages. The first shaft carries the gas generator turbine with radial compressor and tubular combustion chamber, allowing self sustained operation.
