Products
- LICOMBA: Communications Laboratory — EDIBON: A modular teaching laboratory for the basic and advanced concepts of analogue and digital communication. Students study analogue and digital modulation and demodulation, aerial links and signal analysis in the time and frequency domains, working with a computer through the Control Interface Box.
- EMDA/A: Analog Modulations Unit — EDIBON: A bench unit for teaching analogue modulation and demodulation as used in modern communication systems. It covers amplitude modulation in double side band, double side band suppressed carrier and single side band suppressed carrier forms, together with frequency modulation.
- EMDA/D: Digital Modulations Unit — EDIBON: A bench unit for teaching digital modulation and line coding. It covers amplitude shift keying, frequency shift keying, phase shift keying and quadrature phase shift keying, and lets students compare line coding techniques such as NRZ, RZ, RB and AMI.
- EMDA/P: Pulse Modulations Unit — EDIBON: A bench unit for teaching pulse modulation and multiplexing. It covers pulse code, pulse amplitude, pulse width, pulse density, pulse position and delta modulation, and introduces time division and frequency division multiplexing.
- ELT: Transmission Lines Unit — EDIBON: A unit for studying signal transmission along a standardised coaxial line. Students measure line behaviour in steady state and in the time domain, and characterise mismatches, impedance variations and discontinuities using switchable termination loads.
- EDICOM6: Optical Fibre Transmission and Reception — EDIBON: A digital communications module for optical fibre transmission and reception, forming part of the LICOMBA Communications Laboratory range. It lets students send and recover a signal over an optical fibre link alongside the other EDICOM modules.
- EANC: Computer Controlled Antenna Unit — EDIBON: A computer controlled antenna measurement system with automatic 360 degree rotation of the transmitter tower. Students plot radiation patterns in azimuth and elevation and measure signal level, standing wave ratio, bandwidth, directivity and antenna gain from the computer.
- EAN: Antenna Unit — EDIBON: A self contained antenna measurement bench with transmitter and receiver towers and a kit of antennas. Students measure radiation patterns, real time signal level, standing wave ratio, bandwidth, directivity and antenna gain without additional hardware.
- EMIC: Computer Controlled Microwave Unit — EDIBON: A computer controlled microwave test bench built from standard WR-90 waveguide components. Students measure power emission, attenuation, matched and mismatched loads, horn antenna gain, frequency, wavelength, standing wave ratio and impedance using the Smith chart.
- EMI: Microwave Unit — EDIBON: A microwave measuring test bench with an electronic console, microwave generator and a kit of standard WR-90 waveguide devices. Students carry out measurements of power, attenuation, load matching, horn antenna gain, wavelength, standing wave ratio and impedance.
- CODITEL: Telephony Systems Unit — EDIBON: A unit for studying digital switching in telephony networks. It reproduces a time switch with one inlet and one outlet PCM path, so students can follow connection set up, channel assignment and traffic management in a digital exchange.
- ETM: Computer Controlled GSM Communications Unit — EDIBON: A cellular mobile trainer that works with a computer through a USB connection. Students see the AT commands exchanged with the SIM card as each mobile service is used, and study how SIM memory is managed for the SMS inbox and phonebook.
- ESA: Computer Controlled Satellites Unit — EDIBON: A computer controlled trainer for satellite telecommunication systems. Three blocks reproduce the ground transmitter station, the active satellite repeater and the ground receiver station, so students can follow the uplink and downlink signal chain and insert faults.
- ERA: Radar Unit — EDIBON: A working radar teaching system with interface unit, rotating antenna, GPS module, tripod and mobile cart for outdoor practicals. Students measure range and bearing of static and moving objects and work with operating modes, sensitivity control, clutter suppression and guard zones.
- EGPS: GPS Unit — EDIBON: A unit for studying global positioning systems. It pairs a GPS receiver interface with status indicators and an active antenna, connects to a computer over USB, and lets students work through trilateration, receiver start modes and geographical azimuth.
- EBL: Bluetooth Unit — EDIBON: A trainer that builds a simple Bluetooth network between a computer and two Bluetooth devices with LCD displays. Students configure the link, scan for new devices, set communication parameters, program the devices and encrypt the communication.
- ELAN: Lan Network Unit — EDIBON: A trainer for local area networks built from a router and managed switches. Students study network topology and cabling standards, create VLANs, and configure security features such as storm control, ARP spoofing prevention and access control lists.
