- ELEMENTS: Elemental Analyser Software: Control and evaluation software for the ELEMENTRAC generation of Eltra analysers, handling method setup, calibration, result filtering and report generation. It is the operating layer of the instrument rather than an optional add-on.
- ELEMENTS Cloud: Remote Instrument Management: Cloud service that lets an ELEMENTRAC analyser be monitored and managed remotely, so instrument status and results can be seen from outside the laboratory. It is aimed at organisations running several analysers across sites.
- ELEMENTRAC CS-i: Carbon / Sulphur Analyser: Induction furnace carbon and sulphur analyser for inorganic samples such as steel, cast iron, ores and ceramics. The sample is burned above 2,000 degrees Celsius in oxygen and the resulting carbon dioxide and sulphur dioxide are measured by solid state infrared absorption. A heated dust trap and a platinum based catalyst reactor handle the dusty combustion products that these materials produce.
- ELEMENTRAC CS-r: Carbon / Sulphur Analyser: Horizontal resistance furnace analyser for carbon and sulphur in organic samples, using ceramic boats that allow a high sample weight. The infrared path is made of solid gold, which resists the halogen and acid combustion products that corrode aluminium cells. Furnace temperature is adjustable to 1550 degrees Celsius in one degree steps.
- ELEMENTRAC CS-d: Carbon / Sulphur Analyser: Dual furnace analyser carrying both an induction furnace and a resistance furnace, so organic and inorganic samples can be run on the same instrument without changing configuration. Up to four independent infrared cells cover different concentration ranges, and the gold infrared path extends cell life on halogen bearing samples.
- CS-580A: Carbon / Sulphur Analyser: Vertical resistance furnace analyser for simultaneous carbon and sulphur determination in organic samples, and for total organic and total inorganic carbon. It can be configured for a single element or for both, and an autoloader with 36 or 130 crucible positions is required for unattended running.
- ELEMENTRAC CHS-r: Carbon / Hydrogen / Sulphur Analyser: Horizontal resistance furnace analyser measuring carbon, hydrogen and sulphur simultaneously in organic samples, to DIN, EN and ISO methods. Ceramic boats allow a high sample weight, which matters for heterogeneous material such as coal, coke and biomass where a small aliquot would not be representative.
- CHS-580A: Carbon / Hydrogen / Sulphur Analyser: Vertical furnace analyser for simultaneous carbon, hydrogen and sulphur determination in organic samples, configurable for single element or multi-element operation. As with the CS-580A it uses ceramic crucibles and an autoloader, and covers total organic and total inorganic carbon.
- CW-800: Carbon Dioxide / Water Analyser: Analyser that determines carbon dioxide and water content simultaneously in materials such as cement and gypsum. A quartz tube resistance furnace runs at a fixed temperature up to 1000 degrees Celsius under nitrogen, and the released gases are measured by infrared absorption through a gold path, so no halogen trap is needed.
- CW-800M: Carbon / Water Analyser: Fractional carbon and water analyser that steps the furnace through up to five programmed temperatures in one run, so total organic and total inorganic carbon can be separated by their release temperature rather than by acid treatment. Maximum sample size is 32 by 145 mm in a quartz boat.
- SurfaceC-800: Surface Carbon Analyser: Analyser that determines carbon present on the surface of solid samples, as distinct from bulk carbon. Both furnace temperature and carrier gas can be changed during the measurement to a user defined programme, which is how surface residues are driven off and measured separately from carbon in the matrix.
- ELEMENTRAC ONH-ps: Oxygen / Nitrogen / Hydrogen Analyser: Simultaneous oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen analyser for inorganic samples, using an electrode impulse furnace that exceeds 3,000 degrees Celsius in a graphite crucible. Oxygen and hydrogen are measured by infrared absorption and nitrogen by thermal conductivity. The closed gas system keeps consumption low, and argon can be used as carrier gas in place of helium.
- ELEMENTRAC ONH-p: Oxygen / Nitrogen / Hydrogen Analyser: Impulse furnace analyser measuring oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen concentrations in inorganic materials such as steel, non-ferrous metals and ceramics. It uses the hot extraction principle, in which the sample is fused in a graphite crucible and the gases released are carried to infrared and thermal conductivity detectors.
- ELEMENTRAC OH-p: Oxygen / Hydrogen Analyser: Impulse furnace analyser configured for oxygen and hydrogen only, for laboratories that do not need nitrogen determination. Removing the nitrogen channel simplifies the gas handling and shortens the analysis, while keeping the same hot extraction principle in a graphite crucible.
- ELEMENTRAC ON-p: Oxygen / Nitrogen Analyser: Impulse furnace analyser for oxygen and nitrogen in inorganic materials. Oxygen is measured as carbon dioxide by infrared absorption and nitrogen by thermal conductivity, following fusion of the sample in a graphite crucible. It suits steel and non-ferrous metal laboratories where hydrogen is not part of the specification.
- ELEMENTRAC H-r: Hydrogen Analyser: Dedicated hydrogen analyser using the hot extraction method, in which the sample is heated below its melting point so diffusible hydrogen is released without fusing the matrix. It is used on steel and iron, where hydrogen content governs susceptibility to cracking.
- ELEMENTRAC CN-r: Carbon / Nitrogen / Protein Analyser: Dumas combustion analyser for carbon and nitrogen, with protein calculated from the nitrogen result. It is the alternative to Kjeldahl digestion for food, feed, soil and fertiliser laboratories, and avoids the concentrated acid and catalyst that the wet method requires.
- TGA THERMOSTEP: Thermogravimetric Analyser: Macro thermogravimetric analyser that determines moisture, volatile matter, ash and loss on ignition in a single programmed run by weighing samples continuously as the furnace steps through temperature stages. Up to 19 samples are carried on a carousel, which suits coal, coke, biomass and mineral laboratories running proximate analysis.
- Consumables for Elemental Analysers: Crucibles, ceramic and quartz boats, reagents, catalysts and furnace parts for Eltra analysers. Combustion analysis consumes these on every run, and the grade of crucible and reagent affects the blank value, so they form part of the analytical method rather than general supplies.
