Products
- Single Mode FC/PC Fiber Optic Patch Cables (P1 Series) — ThorLabs: Single mode patch cables terminated at both ends with ceramic FC/PC connectors, covering wavelengths from the near ultraviolet to the short wave infrared. Low back reflection at the fibre junction makes them suitable for laser delivery and instrument interconnection.
- Step-Index Multimode Fiber Optic Patch Cables, SMA to SMA (M Series) — ThorLabs: Multimode patch cables with SMA connectors at both ends, offered across a wide range of core diameters and numerical apertures. They are the usual link between a broadband source, a sample and a spectrometer in a teaching or analytical laboratory.
- Graded-Index (GRIN) Multimode Fiber Optic Patch Cables — ThorLabs: Patch cables built from graded-index multimode fibre, whose gradual index profile cuts modal dispersion and raises bandwidth compared with step-index fibre. They are supplied with narrow key FC/PC or LC/PC ceramic ferrule connectors.
- FiberPort Collimators and Couplers (PAF2 Series) — ThorLabs: Compact micropositioners that couple a free space beam into fibre or collimate the output, with five degrees of freedom plus rotation. They work with single mode, multimode and polarisation maintaining fibre and hold alignment once locked.
- F810 Series Air-Spaced Doublet Fiber Collimators — ThorLabs: Factory aligned collimation packages with a multi-element doublet lens, giving diffraction limited performance at the design wavelength. With no moving parts they cannot drift out of alignment, which suits permanent fibre coupled detection systems.
- CFC Series FC/APC Adjustable Aspheric Collimators — ThorLabs: Adjustable focus collimators built around a spring loaded aspheric lens in a stainless steel cell, for collimating light out of an FC/APC terminated fibre. A locking ring holds the setting once the beam is collimated.
- TC Series Triplet Fiber Optic Collimators and Couplers — ThorLabs: Air-spaced triplet lens collimators that produce a nearly Gaussian output with lower divergence and wavefront error than an aspheric collimator. They can be used in pairs for collimator to collimator coupling over separations up to 2 m.
- Single Mode Fiber Optic Circulators (CIR Series) — ThorLabs: Three port non-reciprocal devices that pass light from port 1 to port 2 and from port 2 to port 3 with low loss, while blocking the reverse paths. They are used in add-drop multiplexing, fibre sensing and bidirectional transmission.
- Fiber-to-Fiber U-Benches (FBC and FBP Series) — ThorLabs: A FiberBench base with fibre input and output on the same side, opening the beam into free space so that filters, polarisers or modulators can be inserted. Fixed versions use factory aligned patch cables and adjustable versions use FiberPorts.
- ARC150 Portable Arc Fusion Splicer Kit — ThorLabs: A field portable arc fusion splicer with automated cleaved fibre inspection, alignment and splicing, supplied with manual cleavers and transfer clips. The removable battery and carrying case make it usable away from a bench.
- Vytran LFS Series Filament Fusion Splicers — ThorLabs: Filament fusion splicers for standard, large diameter, specialty and soft glass fibre, using a resistive filament rather than an arc. True Core Imaging aligns the fibres and the wide thermal range also allows thermally expanded core mode field adapters to be made.
- Vytran CAC400 Compact Fiber Cleaver — ThorLabs: An automated tension and scribe cleaver for cladding diameters from 60 to 600 micrometres, handling single mode, multimode, polarisation maintaining, photonic crystal and soft glass fibre. The CAC400A version also produces angled cleaves.
- Vytran LDC401 Fiber Cleavers for Ø80 µm to Ø1.25 mm Cladding — ThorLabs: Programmable large diameter cleavers using a stepper controlled diamond blade and linear tension loading, with an internal vacuum pump to hold the fibre. They handle capillary tubes, photonic crystal and non-circular fibre as well as standard types.
