Products
- PAHSC: Computer Controlled Soil Moisture Suction Sand Unit — EDIBON: A unit for studying water retention in soil in terms of suction. Students derive the relationship between moisture content and suction for a sand sample and obtain the retention curve, which is the basis of unsaturated soil and drainage calculations.
- PDFDC: Computer Controlled Drainage and Seepage Tank — EDIBON: A glass sided tank for demonstrating and measuring flow through permeable media and in the subsoil. Piezometers along the tank allow flow nets to be plotted for dams, sheet piles and drains, which is the standard seepage experiment in geotechnics.
- PEFPC: Computer Controlled Permeability/Fluidisation Studies Unit — EDIBON: A permeameter built as a transparent cylinder that holds a soil or granular sample. It measures the permeability of the sample under a controlled head and then shows the behaviour of the bed as upward flow lifts it into fluidisation.
- AS 200 basic: Vibratory Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Entry level vibratory sieve shaker for dry and wet sieve analysis on 100 mm, 200 mm and 203 mm sieves. The electromagnetic drive produces a three dimensional throwing motion with angular momentum, so material is distributed evenly across the whole mesh. Amplitude and sieving time are set on an analogue panel, making it a straightforward choice for routine grading work.
- AS 200 digit cA: Vibratory Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Standard vibratory sieve shaker with digital setting and electronic control of the sieving amplitude, so the same amplitude is held whatever the mass of the sieve stack. Suitable for dry and wet sieving of powders, bulk materials and suspensions. Sieving time is set digitally and interval operation can be selected.
- AS 200 control: Vibratory Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Quality control sieve shaker with digital setting and control of every sieving parameter and memory for 99 standard operating procedures. The patented electromagnetic drive gives a three dimensional throwing motion, and sieve acceleration is held independent of mains frequency so results are reproducible between laboratories. It handles dry and wet sieving and carries a test certificate, and it can be calibrated.
- AS 300 control: Vibratory Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Vibratory sieve shaker built for the larger 305 mm and 315 mm sieve diameters used for aggregate and construction material grading. It uses the same controlled electromagnetic three dimensional drive as the AS 200 control, with digital parameter setting and SOP memory. Dry and wet sieving are both supported.
- AS 400 control: Horizontal Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Horizontal sieve shaker that moves the sieve stack in a circular motion in the horizontal plane. That action suits needle shaped, flat, long or fibrous particles and abrasives, where a throwing motion would give a poor separation. It takes sieve diameters up to 400 mm, so it covers coarse aggregate fractions.
- AS 450 basic: Vibratory Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Large capacity vibratory sieve shaker for 400 mm and 450 mm sieves, giving up to 10 fractions in a single sieving run. Amplitude is set in steps rather than continuously, which makes it the budget alternative to the AS 450 control for laboratories handling large sample volumes of sand, aggregate and other bulk material.
- AS 450 control: Vibratory Sieve Shaker — Retsch: The largest vibratory sieve shaker in the Retsch range, using controlled electromagnetic tapping technology to drive sieve stacks of up to 25 kg. It accepts 400 mm and 450 mm sieves and covers a measuring range from 25 µm to 125 mm, which takes in coarse aggregate as well as fine fractions. Amplitude is digitally set and held constant regardless of load.
- AS 200 jet: Air Jet Sieving Machine — Retsch: Air jet sieving machine for fine powders that agglomerate or will not pass a mesh under vibration alone. A rotating slotted nozzle blows a jet of air up through the mesh to disperse the sample while a vacuum draws the undersize away, so each cut is made on a single sieve rather than a stack. It is used where a conventional vibratory shaker cannot disperse the material.
- AS 200 jet pro / AS 200 jet pharma: Air Jet Sieving Machines — Retsch: Air jet sieving machines that combine sieving and weighing in one instrument, so the sieve does not have to be removed between fractions. The pharma version adds audit trail functionality for regulated laboratories. Both work on the rotating air jet principle for fine powders that will not disperse under vibration.
- AS 200 tap: Tap Sieve Shaker — Retsch: Tap sieve shaker that mechanises the manual sieving procedure specified in several national standards, superimposing a vertical tapping action on a horizontal circular motion. It is used where a standard calls for tapping rather than vibration, and gives the reproducibility of a machine in place of hand sieving.
- Woven Wire Mesh Test Sieves, 200 mm / 203 mm diameter — Retsch: Woven wire mesh test sieves in the 200 mm and 203 mm (8 inch) frame diameters that most laboratory sieve shakers are built around. The mesh is tensioned into a stainless steel frame and the sieves are supplied to ISO 3310-1 and ASTM E11, with inspection, calibration or certified quality options depending on the level of documentation a laboratory needs.
- Woven Wire Mesh Test Sieves, other frame diameters — Retsch: Woven wire mesh test sieves in 100 mm, 305 mm, 400 mm and 450 mm frame diameters for shakers outside the standard 200 mm format. The 305 mm and larger frames suit aggregate and construction material grading where sample masses are high, while the 100 mm frame is used where sample quantity is limited.
- Perforated Plate Test Sieves — Retsch: Test sieves made from perforated metal plate rather than woven mesh, used for the coarse fractions where a woven cloth would distort. Round and square apertures are available, and the sieves are supplied to ISO 3310-2 and ISO 5223 in 200 mm, 305 mm and 400 mm frame diameters.
- Test Sieve Accessories — Retsch: Supporting items for sieve analysis, including collecting pans, intermediate pans, lids, spacer rings, sieving aids for materials that blind the mesh, and test sieve racks for storage. These are the consumable and ancillary parts that a sieve laboratory needs alongside the shaker and the sieves themselves.
- SieveCare: Test Sieve Cleaning, Inspection and Recalibration Service — Retsch: Service programme for test sieves in use, covering ultrasonic cleaning, optical inspection of the mesh and recalibration against the relevant standard. It is how a laboratory keeps documented evidence that its sieves still meet ISO 3310 after months of use.
- PT 100: Sample Divider — Retsch: Rotating sample divider that splits a bulk sample into equal representative sub-samples, so what reaches the analytical instrument reflects the whole consignment. It handles pourable solids with a feed size up to 10 mm and can be set to 6, 8 or 10 divisions depending on the head fitted.
- PT 200: Rotating Tube Divider — Retsch: Rotating tube divider for powdered and granular bulk materials with a feed size up to 10 mm. The dividing ratio is set by the bottom cone fitted, giving one, two or three fractions, which suits laboratories that need a specific split ratio rather than a fixed number of equal parts.
- PT 300: Rotating Sample Divider — Retsch: Rotating sample divider for dust free division and volume reduction of large quantities of powdered or granular bulk material, with a feed size up to 30 mm. It can be set to 4, 6, 8 or 10 divisions, or configured to reject part of the stream, which is how large field samples are cut down to laboratory size.
- RT 6.5 to RT 75: Sample Splitter — Retsch: Riffle sample splitters that halve a sample by passing it through alternating chutes, the classic method described in DIN 51701. The series runs from RT 6.5 to RT 75 with slot widths matched to feed sizes from about 4 mm to 50 mm, and requires no power supply.
- RT 100: Sample Splitter — Retsch: Riffle sample splitter with an adjustable slot width, so one unit covers a range of feed sizes instead of needing a different splitter for each. Slot width is adjustable from 12 mm to 108 mm and it divides the sample in two. It is built for laboratory and on-site use.
