Flash photolysis transient absorption spectrometer for following short lived excited states and reaction intermediates. The kinetic configuration measures a decay at a single wavelength; the kinetic and spectral configuration adds an intensified CCD so the whole transient spectrum can be captured at chosen delays. Excitation is a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser with an optional tuneable OPO.
