• EBMB: Biomass Process Unit — EDIBON: Pellet fired biomass boiler feeding two primary circuits, one to a domestic hot water tank and one to an air heater inside a methacrylate room. It shows how a solid biofuel installation produces both hot water and space heating.
• EBGB: Biogas Process Unit — EDIBON: Anaerobic digestion unit with two packed digesters that can be run in one stage or in two, separating hydrolysis and acidogenesis from methanogenesis. Volumetric tanks and a methane sensor determine the quantity and quality of the biogas produced.
• EBDB: Biodiesel Process Unit — EDIBON: Unit that converts the fatty acids of vegetable oils into biodiesel in two stages, mixing with stirring and then separating and washing the products. A balance and titration kit allow the yield and the quality of the biodiesel to be assessed.
• EBEB: Bioethanol Process Unit — EDIBON: Laboratory scale bioethanol plant covering liquefaction and saccharification of the raw material, fermentation of the sugars and distillation of the product. Temperature, pH and carbon dioxide are monitored through each stage of the process.
• PBGC/CTS: Computer Controlled and Touch Screen Biogas Processing Plant — EDIBON: Pilot scale biogas plant with two stainless steel reactors that can run in one or two stages, in continuous or batch mode. The biogas is dried and then characterised for flow rate, humidity, methane and carbon dioxide content.
• EBDC: Computer Controlled Biodiesel Process Unit — EDIBON: Biodiesel can be produced from vegetable oil using the Computer Controlled Biodiesel Process Unit, "EBDC", which allows the main parameters influencing the process's performance and the final quality of the product to be studied. These include the operating temperature, the amount of catalyst used and the operating time.
• EBMC: Computer Controlled Biomass Process Unit — EDIBON: Designed by EDIBON, the Computer Controlled Biomass Process Unit "EBMC" allows the user to study heating systems and how to obtain domestic hot water using a biomass boiler.
