Products
- 8600 Series VSM — Lake Shore: The 8600 Series VSM is a vibrating sample magnetometer used to measure the magnetic moment of materials. It reaches a noise floor of 15 nemu at 10 s/pt, applies fields up to 3.62 T and acquires data at 10 ms per point. It is used for magnetic characterisation of films, powders and bulk samples.
- Model 480 Fluxmeter — Lake Shore: The Model 480 fluxmeter measures total magnetic flux, which can then be used to calculate flux density (B) and magnetic field strength (H). It is used with Helmholtz coils and search coils to characterise permanent magnets and magnet assemblies.
- F71 and F41 Teslameters — Lake Shore: The F71 and F41 teslameters measure DC and AC magnetic fields, the F41 on a single axis and the F71 on three axes with vector magnitude. Both accept Lake Shore probes and plug-and-play sensors. They are used for magnet mapping, field verification and quality control.
- Model 425 Gaussmeter — Lake Shore: The Model 425 is a desktop gaussmeter that measures DC and AC magnetic fields using Lake Shore Hall probes. It reads at 4-3/4 digit resolution with the filter on, and covers ranges up to 350 kG depending on the probe fitted. It is used for magnet testing and field mapping.
- Model 475 DSP Gaussmeter — Lake Shore: The Model 475 DSP gaussmeter uses digital signal processing to measure DC and AC magnetic fields with Hall probes. Resolution is selectable at 5-3/4, 4-3/4 or 3-3/4 digits, trading reading rate against bandwidth. It is used for precise field measurement and magnet characterisation.
- Helmholtz Coils (Field Standards) — Lake Shore: These Helmholtz coils generate a known, uniform magnetic field from an applied current, so they can be used to calibrate and check magnetic field sensors. Single-axis coils are offered in 2.5 in, 6 in and 12 in inside diameters, along with a 2-axis model. Field accuracy is 0.75%.
- Helmholtz Coils (Moment Measurement) — Lake Shore: These Helmholtz coils work with the Model 480 fluxmeter to measure the magnetic moment of permanent magnets and magnet assemblies. The sample sits at the centre of the coil pair and the flux change is integrated by the fluxmeter. Single and 2-axis configurations are available.
- Search Coils — Lake Shore: Lake Shore search coils are handheld coils used with the Model 480 fluxmeter to measure magnetic flux and flux density. They are optimised for magnets fixed in an assembly or mounted in a narrow gap, where a Helmholtz coil cannot be used. Two area-turn options are offered.
- EM-4V and EM-7V Electromagnets — Lake Shore: The EM-4V and EM-7V are laboratory electromagnets with indexed ExactGAP air gap settings and interchangeable pole caps. With the optional high-field 2 in pole face at a 7.5 mm gap they reach 2.76 T and 3.22 T. Field falls as the air gap or the pole face diameter increases.
- Model 643 Electromagnet Power Supply — Lake Shore: The Model 643 is a bipolar, 4-quadrant DC current source for driving laboratory electromagnets. It supplies up to +/-70 A at +/-35 V nominal, 2450 W, using fully linear regulation to keep current ripple low. The 4-quadrant output lets the field be swept through zero.
- Model 648 Electromagnet Power Supply — Lake Shore: The Model 648 is a 9 kW bipolar, 4-quadrant DC current source for large research electromagnets. It delivers up to +/-135 A at +/-75 V into a nominal 0.5 ohm, 0.5 H load, with 10 mA RMS current ripple. Protection covers short circuit, line faults and over temperature.
- Model 625 Superconducting Magnet Power Supply — Lake Shore: The Model 625 is a bipolar, 4-quadrant current source for small to medium superconducting magnets used in materials research. It supplies up to +/-60 A at +/-5 V with 0.1 mA setting resolution and quench protection. Two units can be paralleled for +/-120 A operation.
- NanoMOKE3 — Durham Magneto Optics: A magneto-optical Kerr effect magnetometer for magnetic thin films, nanostructures, tunnel junctions and spintronic devices. A focused laser spot and video rate scanning laser microscope allow precise positioning on the sample and sensitive domain imaging.
- NanoMOKE3 Wafer Mapper — Durham Magneto Optics: A Kerr effect magnetometer built around a large travel wafer stage, so hysteresis loops can be mapped across a whole wafer. Coercivity, remanence and exchange bias are extracted automatically from the measured loops.
