• EEST: Thermal Solar Energy Unit — EDIBON: Solar thermal unit that heats water either by thermosiphon or by pumped circulation, with its own simulator so experiments do not depend on the weather. A flat collector, an accumulator tank and temperature sensors allow efficiency to be determined.
• MINI-EEST: Thermal Solar Energy Basic Unit — EDIBON: Compact solar thermal unit that converts solar energy into usable thermal energy, working either by thermosiphon or with a pump. The lamp panel supplies the simulated radiation so the unit can be used in any laboratory.
• ECESC: Computer Controlled Focusing Solar Energy Collector — EDIBON: Parabolic trough collector on a mobile base that can be adjusted horizontally and vertically to focus solar energy from different positions. Interchangeable collectors let students study concentration ratio, optical losses and geometrical losses.
• HTVC: Computer Controlled Solar/Heat Source Vapour Turbine — EDIBON: Bench top vapour power plant that demonstrates the production of shaft power from solar radiation on a laboratory scale. It uses a refrigerant working fluid on the Rankine cycle with a hot water heat source inside the unit.
