A forced convection hot air oven and dry heat steriliser offered in eight capacities from 16 to 200 litres, working from ambient plus 5 degrees C to 250 degrees C under microprocessor PID control. GEMMY quotes temperature uniformity of +/-3.0 degrees C and stability of +/-0.5 degrees C, both measured at 180 degrees C, with the timer only starting once the actual temperature reaches 2 degrees C below the set point. Double wall construction with heavy gauge glass fibre insulation retains heat, and adjustable fresh air inlet ports at top and bottom control the amount of convective air. Safety cover includes an over temperature alarm and cut-out at 10 degrees C above the set point and an independent safety switch that removes power at 220 degrees C if the primary control fails.
