The compact analogue dry bath in GEMMY's range, weighing 2.5 kg with a 200 W heater and a maximum of 105 degrees C, holding uniformity at 37 degrees C to 0.3 degrees C under PID control. Temperature is set on an analogue control and read from a thermometer, with an over heat alarm fitted. Applications listed include incubating DNA specimens, cross matching and screening in the blood bank, incubating melted agar, enzyme assays, digestions and milk residue tests, as well as serology, haematology, pathology and biochemistry work. Interchangeable heating blocks accept test tubes, cuvettes and microcentrifuge tubes, each with a well for a removable thermometer, and a solid block with no holes turns the unit into a hot plate.
