The CRX-VF is a cryogen-free probe station with a vertical field superconducting magnet that applies up to +/-2.5 T perpendicular to the sample plane. A 2-stage closed cycle refrigerator cools the sample without liquid cryogens, with temperature control up to 420 K. It is used for measurements in an applied field.
