These cushions fit onto Meicen C-Series and Y-Series baseplates through an adapter cushion, or they can be indexed straight onto the couchtop. The arm support cushions are shaped ergonomically for patient comfort and may be used on their own or together with the C-Series and Y-Series baseplates. Hand grips adjust easily, which sharpens both the accuracy and the comfort of repeat set-ups. A quick-lock design drops the cushions into Meicen baseplates and an indexed slot fixes them to CT couchtops.
Meicen builds the wing board from a carbon fibre shell over a foam core, which adds stability while keeping attenuation low, and the set-up itself is simple and comfortable. Holding the patient's arms up helps secure the intended radiotherapy effect, and the board is compatible with the T and U grips and with the Meicen Supine Breast Board. Put together with a T-shaped or wing board vacuum bag, headrests and a lock bar, it forms a complete arrangement for breast and upper body treatment positioning. Meicen notes that wing boards are often used when radiation is being delivered to the chest area.
An adapter cushion lets this prone breast cushion install easily on Meicen C-Series and Y-Series baseplates. The breast bridge can be switched left or right to match the treatment plan, and the U-shaped cushion is available in S, M and L sizes. Its rail-type prone headrest travels in the head to feet direction and offers four levels of elevation angle, so the set-up can be matched to individual needs.
