Brand: Eltra | Category: Scientific & Laboratory Equipment
Analyser that determines carbon present on the surface of solid samples, as distinct from bulk carbon. Both furnace temperature and carrier gas can be changed during the measurement to a user defined programme, which is how surface residues are driven off and measured separately from carbon in the matrix.

Simultaneous oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen analyser for inorganic samples, using an electrode impulse furnace that exceeds 3,000 degrees Celsius in a graphite crucible. Oxygen and hydrogen are measured by infrared absorption and nitrogen by thermal conductivity. The closed gas system keeps consumption low, and argon can be used as carrier gas in place of helium.
Fractional carbon and water analyser that steps the furnace through up to five programmed temperatures in one run, so total organic and total inorganic carbon can be separated by their release temperature rather than by acid treatment. Maximum sample size is 32 by 145 mm in a quartz boat.
Impulse furnace analyser measuring oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen concentrations in inorganic materials such as steel, non-ferrous metals and ceramics. It uses the hot extraction principle, in which the sample is fused in a graphite crucible and the gases released are carried to infrared and thermal conductivity detectors.
