Macro thermogravimetric analyser that determines moisture, volatile matter, ash and loss on ignition in a single programmed run by weighing samples continuously as the furnace steps through temperature stages. Up to 19 samples are carried on a carousel, which suits coal, coke, biomass and mineral laboratories running proximate analysis.
Dedicated hydrogen analyser using the hot extraction method, in which the sample is heated below its melting point so diffusible hydrogen is released without fusing the matrix. It is used on steel and iron, where hydrogen content governs susceptibility to cracking.
