Impulse furnace analyser measuring oxygen, nitrogen and hydrogen concentrations in inorganic materials such as steel, non-ferrous metals and ceramics. It uses the hot extraction principle, in which the sample is fused in a graphite crucible and the gases released are carried to infrared and thermal conductivity detectors.
Analyser that determines carbon present on the surface of solid samples, as distinct from bulk carbon. Both furnace temperature and carrier gas can be changed during the measurement to a user defined programme, which is how surface residues are driven off and measured separately from carbon in the matrix.
Impulse furnace analyser configured for oxygen and hydrogen only, for laboratories that do not need nitrogen determination. Removing the nitrogen channel simplifies the gas handling and shortens the analysis, while keeping the same hot extraction principle in a graphite crucible.
