Brand: GEMMY Industrial | Category: Medical Equipment
The small bath in GEMMY's constant temperature range, a 5 litre analogue unit with a thermometer readout and a stainless steel sheathed immersion heating element. It works from 5 degrees C above ambient up to 100 degrees C for biological, clinical research, medical, biochemical, industrial and teaching laboratories. The moulded tank has rounded corners and seamless stainless steel sides for even circulation and easy cleaning, and a rotating stirrer directs flow around the tank to improve uniformity. Concentric ring covers are offered to cut heat loss when flasks are suspended in the bath.

A micro haematocrit centrifuge for packed cell volume work, used in biochemistry, microbial immunity genetics, blood separation and general clinical testing to establish the percentage of red blood cells against whole blood, which can indicate anaemia or polycythaemia. GEMMY states that all models in the range run at a fixed 12000 rpm apart from the PLC-012 and PLC-012E. The time is set and the run started with the START button, the rotor lid must be closed before spinning, and a reading scale is supplied so the capillary tube can be read directly. EPDM is used for the rotor gasket to extend service life, and a safety device cuts the power if the lid is opened during operation.
A 22 litre thermostatic bath set by thumb switch with three preset points at 25, 37 and 56 degrees C, the temperatures a serology and haematology bench uses most. Readout is LED digital, control is PID, and stability is quoted at +/-0.05 degrees C with uniformity at +/-0.01 degrees C to a maximum of 100 degrees C. A temperature recalibration function corrects drift between the actual and displayed value. GEMMY offers stainless steel gable lids, concentric ring covers with openings of 107, 80, 55, 31.5 and 21 mm, and mesh tube racks for 13 mm or 18 mm tubes in 40 or 20 wells.
KHT-400 is listed by GEMMY within its micro haematocrit centrifuge range, alongside the KHT-410 and KHT-410E. The manufacturer publishes no product name, no specification, no key features and no approval details for this model; the page carries only the model number and a product photograph. Specification, capillary tube capacity and speed should be confirmed with GEMMY before the model is offered.
