Meicen supplies the V-Type violet thermoplastic mask family so that its sheets can be fitted to baseplates made by other manufacturers. Two anatomies are published, a V-shaped head mask and a V-shaped head-neck-shoulder mask, each offered as standard, reinforced, reinforced with open eyes and mouth, and reinforced openface, with the head mask additionally available extended by 5cm or 9cm. Sheet options run at 22% perforation in 2.4mm and 38% perforation in 3.0mm, and Meicen notes that 2.0mm and 3.2mm thicknesses are available if the thickness is specified at the point of enquiry. Its Openface series is intended to ease symptoms of claustrophobia during radiotherapy, with adjustable pulling of the open section giving both comfort and a reinforced effect.
