This family is cut to suit Meicen baseplates that use the pin-lock fixing design. Eight references are published: a reinforced neck-thorax mask at 2.4mm and 3.0mm, and chest-pelvic trunk masks in standard and standard with groin lock forms. Meicen marks the VST trunk references as compatible with its C-Series and Y-Series baseplates and the VSH references as compatible with the Supine Breast Board. Standard sheets are published at 22% perforation in 2.4mm and 38% perforation in 3.0mm, and 2.0mm and 3.2mm thicknesses can be specified at enquiry.
The E-Type violet thermoplastic range covers four published anatomies: head mask, head-neck-shoulder mask, chest-pelvic mask and triangular head mask. Standard sheets are published at 22% perforation in 2.4mm, 38% perforation in 3.0mm and 15% perforation in 2.4mm, with reinforced sheets at 2.4mm and 3.0mm. Head masks are additionally listed extended by 5cm and by 21cm. Meicen states that 2.0mm and 3.2mm thicknesses can also be supplied where the thickness is specified with the enquiry.
Built around a pin-lock fixing, the C-Series all-in-one baseplate supports the head, head and shoulders, thorax, pelvis and full body, and Meicen configures it for both adult and paediatric treatments. It is light in weight and carries an adjustable shoulder retractor for shoulder suppression, with several fixing locations so immobilisation can be tuned patient by patient. Compatibility covers all S-type masks, including standard and narrow shoulder versions, along with Meicen pin-lock type masks. Meicen describes the wider C-Series AIO solution as a modular system for lesions of the brain, head and neck, thorax, breast and lung, and pelvis, adding that the baseplate works with its thermoplastic masks to give submillimetre immobilisation accuracy for stereotactic treatments.
