Test bench for single cylinder internal combustion engines of up to 7.5 kW, loaded by an eddy current electromagnetic brake. The brake is fed from a variator so its torque characteristics can be varied through the test.
Calorimeter that measures the heat carried away in the exhaust gases of a test engine. Gases rise through a double walled stainless steel tank and pass over a finned pipe carrying counter current water, which absorbs the heat for the balance.
