A low profile portable aspirator measuring 320 x 145 x 240 mm, driven by an oil-less piston vacuum pump that requires no lubrication and no maintenance. Airflow is 13 to 15 litres per minute over a vacuum range of 0 to 600 mmHg, drawn into a single 1000 ml collection jar with an overflow preventive stopper, available in autoclavable plastic or glass. The built-in vacuum gauge reads 0 to 760 mmHg, or 0 to 30 inHg. GEMMY states the models are CE certified to the electromagnetic compatibility requirements of EN60601-1-2.
A battery backed portable aspirator for emergency use, measuring 200 x 350 x 205 mm with an oil-less piston vacuum pump giving 13 to 15 litres per minute over a 0 to 600 mmHg range. A sealed lead acid 12 V rechargeable battery with automatic charging gives 1 to 1.5 hours from a full charge, with GEMMY offering an optional battery rated for 3 to 3.5 hours, and the charger works from the mains at the same time as the unit is in use. A plug-in cable allows operation from any 12 V DC supply, in an ambulance or a vehicle, which suits areas where mains failure, unstable current or blackouts are common. A three step switch selects suction, off and charge, and the 1000 ml collection bottle has overflow prevention.
A trolley mounted theatre aspirator measuring 500 x 420 x 885 mm, whose body is moulded in one piece from compact fibreglass for resistance to rust, chipping and corrosion. It takes either an oil rotary pump at 191 W giving 80 litres per minute and 700 mmHg, or a two cylinder oil-less pump at 270 W giving 70 litres per minute and 680 mmHg. Two plastic collection bottles with overflow preventive fittings and autoclavable rubber bungs are changed over by a left to right control knob, and a built-in gauge reads 0 to 760 mmHg. Four anti-static rubber castors, two of them lockable, carry the unit, and it is supplied with two bottles, a footswitch and a length of autoclavable silicone suction tubing.
