Hand tool for lifting the Mossbauer source out of its lead container and screwing it onto the source adapter on the velocity transducer without touching the source. Three claws at the front end hold the source and an operating wheel at the rear works them, while a shield sits in front of the source once it is gripped. At roughly 380 mm the tool keeps the operator a safe distance from the source, and a shorter version is also made.

Alternative source shielding for the MB-500 bench, built for quick sample exchange. On this bench the source sits inside a cylinder made up of aluminium, brass and lead layers, a sandwich design that cuts scattered radiation compared with lead alone, and the lead layer is 8 mm thick. WissEl offers the source shielding in a standard version and in this quick exchange version.
Insert for the lead source container, made of foamed plastic. It seats the Mossbauer source so that the source gripper can lift it out easily.
Valve mounted on top of a nitrogen Dewar and wired to the RiKon-5-LNC Controller 772. The controller opens and closes it so that the foam cryostat is refilled automatically.
