A self-contained unit for the fundamentals of PID control and regulation. Reference signals generated on the panel are applied to the systems through a PID controller, so students see how each control term shapes the response.
Works together with a computer so that the parameters of the industrial controller can be changed while the process is running. Students see directly how each tuning change alters the closed loop response of the plant.
Covers speed control and position control of a DC servomotor. Speed and position sensors allow the dynamic response of the motor to be analysed, and show how each parameter of the PID controller changes that response under load.
