Data acquisition system in which the preamplifier and the main amplifier are separate units, giving more freedom in setting up the pulse chain. It combines the LND-45431 proportional counter with the PEA-6 preamplifier and AMP-1000 spectroscopy amplifier, feeding the CMCA-550 acquisition module.
WissEl's instrument list gives MBF-1100TR as the MBF-1100 Mossbauer furnace supplied together with the TR-55 temperature controller. The furnace is built for Mossbauer effect measurements in vacuum or gas from room temperature upwards, around a quartz tube holding the sample holder and two inner heat screens, with kaolin cotton insulation and air cooling. Its construction allows the operating gas to be changed without taking the furnace apart or removing the sample, and the sample holder is made of steel with a high nickel content to resist aggressive gases at high temperature. The TR-55 adds a EUROTHERM 3216 control module with auto-tune, a pulse width controlled heater output and RS 232C remote control.
Version of WissEl's data acquisition system built around the RiKon-5 CEMS detector rather than a transmission proportional counter, so that conversion electron Mossbauer spectra can be recorded. The chain runs from the detector through the PEA-6A preamplifier and amplifier and the AMP-1000 main amplifier into the CMCA-550 acquisition module.
