HVAB is a test bench for an axial fan. Air flow, pressure rise, speed and power are measured with the outlet throttled so the characteristic curves can be obtained and compared with a centrifugal machine. A computer controlled version, HVAC, is also published.
PBEAB is a bench for teaching pump and motor shaft alignment. Angular and parallel misalignment is introduced deliberately and then corrected with dial gauges and shims, and its effect on vibration and running temperature is observed.
TPC is a computer controlled Pelton turbine test set. Head, flow, speed and torque are logged through the data acquisition system so power, efficiency and the characteristic curves at different nozzle settings can be obtained.
