An eight unit manual differential blood counter with a totaliser, for simplifying differential blood cell counts at the haematology bench. The eight keys represent the normal Schilling groups of leucocytes and each carries the name and picture of the cell it records. Each stroke registers both in the unit corresponding to the key pressed and in the window, and a bell rings at every 100 cells counted. Figures are cleared by rotating the handle anti-clockwise.

A reciprocating shaking water bath built on a microprocessor digital controller that displays the actual bath temperature and holds uniformity to +/-0.1 degrees C. Shaking stroke is set on a control knob from 20 to 200 rpm, produced by an induction motor giving a 20 mm circular motion at 0 dB. Tube racks and the flask platform can be raised, lowered and removed to suit different vessel lengths, or taken off entirely when shaking is not wanted. An audible over temperature alarm cuts the power at 2 degrees C above the set point, and temperature recalibration is available when the actual reading drifts from the display.
A manual laboratory counter for differential blood cell counts, offered as a five unit or eight unit lab-count with a totaliser. The keys correspond to the normal Schilling groups of leucocytes, basophil, eosinophil, segmented, lymphocyte, monocyte, myelocyte, juvenile and stab, each key carrying the name and picture of the cell it records. Every stroke registers both on the unit belonging to the key pressed and in the window above it, and a bell rings once a total of 100 cells has been counted. Rotating the handle anti-clockwise clears the figures.
A digitally set thermostatic water bath offered in 22 litre and 11 litre tanks, working from 5 degrees C above ambient to 100 degrees C with PID control and a maximum setting of 99.9 degrees C. Stability and uniformity are both quoted at +/-0.01 degrees C, held by a rotating stirrer that directs flow around the tank. The moulded bath has rounded corners and seamless stainless steel sides, and the immersion heating element is sheathed in stainless steel and rated at 1.0 kW. Audible and visible alarms cut the power at 2 degrees C above the set point. Concentric ring covers, a drain valve and a perforated tray are offered as options.
