A modular unit built around an industrial controller together with a digital voltmeter, set point generator and the surrounding modules. It shows how a real industrial controller is configured, tuned and connected into a loop.
Four transparent tanks, each with a pressure sensor for level, coupled through computer controlled solenoid valves. Two independently controlled pumps drive the water, and a manual valve at each outlet introduces unmeasured disturbances.
Simulates and analyses the behaviour of a power plant in two operating modes. Real mode acquires data from the hardware under steady state or transient conditions, so plant regulation and control can be studied experimentally.
