Practical training in industrial process control across four variables. Students work through the fundamentals of control loops and apply both on/off and PID control to flow, level, pressure and temperature.
A modular unit built around an industrial controller together with a digital voltmeter, set point generator and the surrounding modules. It shows how a real industrial controller is configured, tuned and connected into a loop.
Works together with a computer so that the parameters of the industrial controller can be changed while the process is running. Students see directly how each tuning change alters the closed loop response of the plant.
