Saturated K2SO4 is the filling solution and a ceramic liquid junction carries the contact, with the published drawing showing a 9.0 mm diameter chamber 37 mm long above a 5.3 mm diameter stem 50 mm long. CH Instruments direct users to refill with saturated K2SO4 and to store the electrode standing in the same solution.
CHI140A is the spectroelectrochemical cell kit in the CH Instruments range, built around a thin layer quartz glass cell. The published kit sheet lists a platinum gauze working electrode, a platinum counter electrode, a Teflon cap and a 10 cm ETFE purge tube alongside the cell body. The chamber ships filled with distilled water for transport safety and must be refilled before first use, and the published drawing gives an 11 to 15 mm diameter head 40 to 45 mm long over a 6.4 mm diameter stem 60 to 65 mm long ending in a white ceramic junction.
