CHI125A is the coated quartz crystal CH Instruments list for electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance work, published as polished, bounded and mounded with a 100 A titanium layer beneath 1000 A of gold. It is the consumable crystal for the CHI127 EQCM cell and the 400C Time-Resolved Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance (EQCM) instrument series.

The CHI127 is the electrochemical cell CH Instruments publish for quartz crystal microbalance measurements, shown in its own photograph on the accessory list. CH Instruments list a matching reference electrode as CHI128 and a platinum wire counter electrode as CHI129 for it, with the CHI125A gold coated crystal as the working surface. It supports the 400C Time-Resolved Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance (EQCM) series.
The CHI120 is the consumable kit CH Instruments supply for renewing the surface of their solid working electrodes. Its published instruction sheet lists 4 grams of 1.0 micron MicroPolish powder, 4 grams of 0.3 micron powder, 18 grams of 0.05 micron powder, two glass plates for the polishing pads, and three grades of 73 mm diameter disc and pad. The stated routine works down through 1.0, 0.3 and 0.05 micron alumina until the electrode surface is mirror shiny, starting at the 1200 grit Carbimet disc if scratches will not lift.
CHI128 is the reference electrode CH Instruments list specifically for the CHI127 EQCM cell. It completes that cell together with the CHI129 platinum wire counter electrode and a coated quartz crystal such as the CHI125A.
