This platinum wire counter electrode is published as the counter electrode for the CHI127 EQCM cell. CH Instruments pair it with the CHI128 reference electrode to give that cell its full electrode complement.
The CHI127 is the electrochemical cell CH Instruments publish for quartz crystal microbalance measurements, shown in its own photograph on the accessory list. CH Instruments list a matching reference electrode as CHI128 and a platinum wire counter electrode as CHI129 for it, with the CHI125A gold coated crystal as the working surface. It supports the 400C Time-Resolved Electrochemical Quartz Crystal Microbalance (EQCM) series.
