A laboratory plant for running adsorption tests by the pressure swing technique. A mixture can be synthesised from up to four gas feeds and then separated on the adsorbent bed, so students can study cycle time, purge ratio and product purity.
A two column unit that covers both absorption and desorption in packed towers. Working with the columns in sequence lets students follow a solute into the liquid and then strip it out again, reproducing the operating conditions used in chemical and environmental plant.
