Modular series that studies and compares different types of heat transfer on a small scale. An electronic console feeds and instruments any of the interchangeable modules, so a department can build up the range of conduction, convection and radiation experiments over time.
For TSTCC, the "TXC/TI" Insulating Material Heat Transfer Unit enables study of thermal conductivity resistance in different insulating materials.
Two electrically heated modules, one with a cylindrical metal bar for linear conduction and one with a metallic disc for radial conduction. Interchangeable samples let students measure thermal conductivity and study area effects, series combinations and insulation.
