An adapter that turns a smartphone into a professional monitor for medical applications. It works with all common smartphone models and connects to the beam splitter through the endoscope adapter, which Kaps describes as quick and straightforward to install. An accompanying app from the App Store or Google Play handles the link, and images and videos transfer to the practice computer over Wi-Fi or established messaging services. The system captures high-resolution still images, smooth video of dynamic processes and audio, and microscope settings can be stored individually on the smartphone for consistent workflows and reproducible results.
A monitor mount for adaptation to the Kaps SOM 62 or to a mobile stand. It lets the screen be placed in a particularly comfortable spot or moved completely out of the way when it is not needed. Height is adjustable via the column, and the monitor swivels, tilts and rotates for optimal positioning. All VESA® standard flat screens up to 22 inches can be fitted, and the mounting kit and instructions are included.
Kaps presents the Vario Lens as workplace ergonomics in optical form. A dial adjusts the working distance continuously across a focus range of f = 200 to 400 mm, which removes the need to change the lens at all: the operator simply focuses up and down on the focal plane. The optics are high-quality apochromatic with multiple coatings and a multilayer anti-reflective treatment.
