Two chamber refrigeration plant for studying capacity regulation methods and for simulating typical faults such as defective valves or blocked pipes. Faults are activated from a touch screen and the cycle is plotted on the log p-h diagram.
Combined fridge freezer with transparent panels so that the compressor, filter, evaporator and condenser of a domestic refrigeration cycle can be seen in place. Sensors along the circuit and inside both compartments support study of thermostat setting and food placement.
Heat pump circuit with an air evaporator and a water condenser served by three compressors in parallel. Students compare the energy used by a single compressor with combined operation and follow the cyclic process on the p-h state diagram.
