An industrial servomotor application that performs up to seven of the controls used in motion technology, including position, speed and torque control, their pairings, and full closed loop control of position, speed and torque at the same time.
A computer controlled servo bench built from modules for practicals on DC servomotors. Position, speed and current are controlled through the interface, and analogue inputs allow external reference signals to be applied and the response recorded.
Covers the working principle and control of industrial servomotors at 1 kW. Students gain experience in controlling the mechanical parameters of the servomotor and observe how the drive responds to changing references and load.
