A digester for studying the aerobic breakdown of organic matter in wastewater sludge. The reactor vessel is aerated and stirred, and temperature, dissolved oxygen and pH are logged, so students can follow the reduction of organic load and the oxygen demand of the process.
Designed by EDIBON, the Flocculation Test Unit, "PEF", allows the coagulation and flocculation operations to be studied, along with analysis of the main parameters that determine the colloids removal operation.
An anaerobic digestion unit supplied with two packed digesters so that the process can be run in one stage or split into two. It is used to study the stages of anaerobic digestion, gas production and the effect of loading rate and temperature on sludge stabilisation.
