Extension tube fitted when the spacing between absorber and detector on the MB-500 bench has to be increased. Like the other shielding elements in the range it uses a sandwich construction with an 8 mm lead layer.
Option that thickens the shield around the proportional counter on the MB-500 Mossbauer bench. The bench carries a 2.5 mm lead shield around the detector as standard, and the MB-DS-AP option raises that lead layer to 8 mm.
Longer version of the shielded extension tube for the MB-500 bench, used where a greater absorber to detector distance is required. Its sandwich shielding carries an 8 mm lead layer.
