The SDM is the economical entry to the Kaps ENT range, recommended by the manufacturer for newly founded practices or as a second instrument for standard screenings. Its 3x magnification changer is tuned to ENT diagnostics and gives a three-dimensional image with the depth of field that makes work inside the ear canal easier. The LEDone unit runs silently and without vibration, needs no active cooling and holds a constant white light across a lifespan of around 30,000 hours. Objectives are interchangeable at f=200, 250, 300 or 400 mm, WF 12.5 x V wide-field eyepieces are standard, and a robust metal housing stands up to disinfectants in clinical use.
