A brushless universal centrifuge adjustable from 1000 to 5000 rpm, running on a universal 100 V to 240 V, 50/60 Hz supply with microprocessor speed control and a two digit 99 minute LED timer. The stainless steel chamber is protected by imbalance detection with alarm and brake, an overheat alarm, a safety interlocking lid with an override for power failure, an emergency stop and a shutout device that acts when the lid is opened. GEMMY publishes eight rotors for the machine, ranging from the A-2420 at 15000 rpm and 20630 x g down to the H-0450 for four 50 ml tubes, including the F-2415 capillary rotor for haematocrit testing at 12000 rpm and 14490 x g. The cabinet measures approximately 320 x 400 x 310 mm and weighs 17 kg without a rotor.
