The Anaerobic Digester, "PDAN", is intended for studying and understanding both the stages of anaerobic digestion and the process itself; it comes supplied with two packed anaerobic digesters.
A unit that determines the filterability index of a water sample using a bed of granular material, normally sand, chosen by the student. The measurements taken allow the filterability of different waters and media to be compared before a full filtration design is attempted.
Designed by EDIBON, the Aeration Unit, "PEAI", demonstrates the water aeration process used mainly to eliminate odours and tastes from water. By means of different air diffusion systems, it allows the study of the oxygen transfer characteristics, as well as the study of the mixing process.
