Brand: EDIBON | Category: Scientific & Laboratory Equipment
MEMT is a modular tribology rig driven by a common drive unit. Interchangeable modules cover journal bearing pressure distribution, dynamic friction of a cylinder on a roller and of a pin on a disc, rolling friction in wheels, elastohydrodynamic lubrication and friction vibration.

MBF is used to compare friction in plain and rolling element bearings. Bearings are loaded and driven while the friction torque is measured, so students can examine how load, speed and lubrication affect the losses.
MPCO is used to study hydrodynamic lubrication in a journal bearing. Pressure tappings around the bearing are read at different speeds and loads, so the pressure distribution in the oil film can be plotted and compared with theory.
MCF is used to study friction between a belt and a pulley. Belts of different material are wrapped over a drum at varying angles of lap and the tensions on each side are measured, allowing the capstan equation to be verified.
