BHI is a self contained bench for hydrostatics and fluid property experiments. It covers hydrostatic thrust on a plane surface, buoyancy and flotation, metacentric height, capillarity, viscosity and pressure measurement with liquid columns.
SCSP is used to calibrate electronic pressure sensors. A reference pressure is applied to the sensor under test and its output signal is recorded, so the calibration curve, span and zero error can be determined.
USSB is a model hull and tank arrangement for naval architecture teaching. Heeling weights are moved across the deck and the angle of list is read, so metacentric height, righting moment and the stability curve can be obtained.
