Large capacity knife mill taking batches up to 4500 ml, for food and feed samples that need to be homogenised in bulk rather than in sub-samples. All parts that touch the sample are autoclavable, which matters where microbiological testing follows the milling step.
Cyclone mill developed for preparing food and feed samples ahead of near infrared analysis. A cyclone separator draws the ground material out of the grinding chamber quickly, which limits heating and moisture loss, both of which would otherwise shift the NIR result. Final fineness is below 250 µm.
