A wet scrubbing plant in which water is pumped to the top of a column while solids are fed in by a dosing system, so that the gas stream is washed as it passes through. It is used to teach particulate and gas removal from air streams and to measure scrubbing efficiency.
A pilot plant for capturing carbon dioxide from a flue gas stream by adsorption, developed within the European MOF4AIR project. It lets students run adsorption and regeneration cycles on a solid sorbent and measure capture efficiency, which supports teaching on carbon capture and storage.
