A beam splitter with an integrated c-mount connection. Kaps calls the arrangement a two in one design and states that it suits both analogue and digital video cameras.
Kaps presents the MKC-X200 as a new standard in micro surgical imaging. Its 1 CMOS structure yields what Ikegami describes as its smallest and lightest camera head, weighing only 60g at 31 x 31 x 36 mm, so it mounts on a range of surgical microscopes without upsetting balance. Resolution of 900 TV lines with a 56dB signal-to-noise ratio and F11/2000 lx sensitivity holds image quality even in difficult light, while the electronic shutter works with automatic gain control to keep exposure right as object lighting changes. Four scene files are reachable from the CCU front buttons, alongside digital zoom up to x4, a freeze function and flip and rotate options.
A 45° ergonomic wedge from the Kaps optical solutions range. It is offered with a beam splitter and binocular rotating plate, with the beam splitter arranged on one side or on both sides.
