Bubble counters are small glass containers filled with normal oil or silicon oil and fitted into the inlet and outlet pipes of the counting gas line. Gas passing through forms bubbles in the liquid, and counting those bubbles gives a measure of the gas flow. A typical flow produces a few bubbles per minute.
